Did you know you could change the case of text in MS Excel? I only discovered this recently, it was never mentioned on any training I ever did. I think it’s going to be a big time saver for those use who create lists of customer lists, patients lists etc and import or cut and paste from emails etc. For instance, I’m currently compiling RSVP lists for events. I tend to copy the name from the email received and paste into Excel. The cases of the words can vary. This is a very quick way of changing the case.
So, Column A is a list of names (my name!) typed in mix of cases
Column B I used the formula to convert text from column A to all =LOWER(A3)
Column C I used the formula to convert text from column A to all capitals =UPPER(A3)
Column C I used the formula to convert text from column A to lower case with first letter capitalised =PROPER(A3)
